Notice of Adoption of an Official Plan for
he Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge
nder Section 17(23) of the Planning Act, RSO 1990, c.P.13

TAKE NOTICE: That on July 24th, 2017, the Council of the Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge adopted “The Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge Official Plan” under Section 17 of the Planning Act, as amended.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the “The Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge Official Plan” is to establish a vision, guiding principles, objectives, and policies to manage and direct physical development and the effect of change on the social, cultural, economic, and natural environment for the planning horizon.

The policies, together with any land use and other Schedule(s) and any amendment(s), which are adopted and finalized pursuant to the Planning Act, constitute the Official Plan of the Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge.

EFFECT: The Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge Official Plan provides direction in how the Municipality should position itself for its future through specific guidance for developing a lifestyle, sustainable community for future generations to enjoy. The policies and Schedules contained herein are established primarily to guide the physical development of the Municipality while having regard to the relevant social, cultural, economic and natural environmental matters.

LOCATION: A key map has not been provided because the Official Plan applies to all lands located within the Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge.

APPROVAL AUTHORITY: The Ministry of Municipal Affairs is the approval authority for the Official Plan for The Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge. Any person or public body will be entitled to receive notice of the decision of the approval authority if a written request to be notified of the decision (including the person’s or public body’s address) is made to the approval authority. A written request for notification should be submitted to:

A copy of the text and schedule is available for inspection at the Planning Office, Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge 3250 Highway 130, Rosslyn, Ontario during regular operating hours. It is also available on the Municipality’s website. The Subject Lands are also the subject, under The Planning Act, of a Comprehensive Zoning By-law review and consolidation of Zoning By- 185-2001of the Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge. A copy of the By-law to adopt the new Official Plan is available at the Clerk’s Department at the Municipal Office.
