The Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge is seeking applications for a Planning Assistant. The successful applicant will provide administrative support for the Planning Department. Duties include processing and filing planning applications, building permits and by-law enforcement documents.
Minimum Job Requirements: College degree in administration/business with two years office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Superior customer service skills and the ability to deal with the public and staff in a courteous and tactful manner. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi task. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing. Must have advanced computer skills. Knowledge of mapping software would be an asset. This position will be 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Wages range between $24.94 and $26.25 per hour. Group benefits and insurance plus pension plan (OMERS) offered.
